THE Federal Road Safety Corps has warned drivers against the abuse of alcohol and narcotics.
The Bayelsa State Sector Commander of
FRSC, Mr. Vincent Jack, issued the warning on Saturday during a joint
public education campaign with officials of the National Drug Law
Enforcement Agency in Sagbama Local Government Area.
Describing alcohol and drug abuse as
death sentence, Jack stressed that road users should endeavour to avoid
them (alcohol and narcotics) in order to live fulfilled lives.
The FRSC state commander said drug abuse accounted for avoidable accidents, diseases, and in some cases, death.
